Ray Rice, Justin Forsett & Bernard Pierce: Baltimore Ravens Cut Domestic Abuse Running Back After Elevator Attack Video & Put Faith In Replacements

Ray Rice has been at the center of many heated debates, all to do with him attacking his partner in an elevator. However, today, things spiralled out of control, and the NFL finally took action. A video surfaced showing Rice beating his partner, Janay Palmer, and dragging her body across the floor, and the world reacted in digust. The NFL denied seeing the video before, and the Baltimore Ravens cut the star running back, and the NFL hit him with a ban. Now the Ravens will turn their attention to trouble-less backs Justin Forsett and Bernard Pierce, hoping to put the Rice saga to bed. Can the Ravens survive without him, and should Rice ever play in the NFL again?

Rice was in the middle of a 5-year $50 million contract, but the Ravens proved that they were in no mood to hand out second chances. Now the Ravens, with the season already ongoing, have to make do with their current backs, or search the free agent market. The Ravens have Pierce, but he's failed to impress, adding more worries to their RB situation. However, they have Forsett who has impressed when given the chance to run for the team.

In week 1 of the 2014 season, Forsett had 11 carries for 70 yards and one touchdown, and it seems like his game time minutes will see a massive increase, meaning he could become a serious back to watch in the NFL. On top of that, he caught the ball well, too. The Ravens are looking to put their faith in Forsett and Pierce, and they will strengthen the position in the offseason. However, the Ravens could soon be worried if it's only Forsett that performs.

Do the Ravens need another back, and could they manage with just Forsett's production? Will Rice ever play another NFL game again?
