During last night's episode of CONAN, the TBS host invited comedy legend Mel Brooks to the set to promote the 40th anniversary of Young Frankenstein. During his segment, he took some time to remember the talent that was Joan Rivers and prove that he's still one of the funniest guys around.

Brooks and Rivers knew each other for quite some time, having collaborated on the 1987 film Spaceballs.

On the comedienne, the icon stated, "She was sharp. She was really bright, really funny, and very dangerous. She'd go into unknown territory and take her chances..." as everyone undeniably agrees with.

Brooks then noted that while she was courageous and outspoken, Rivers was "the sweetest, dearest person" off camera.

O'Brien then showed a video of Brooks subbing for Rivers back when she had her late night talk show. "She asked me to come and be her host, so I took over The Joan Rivers Show for one night."

Apparently, the women's clothing didn't stick, but it sure was a hilarious bit!

The legendary writer and performer talked more about Rivers' unfortunate passing and called both her and Robin Williams as close to genius as you could get. Hard to disagree, no?

He also briefly discussed his recent hand and foot ceremony in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater –– an incredible honor for those in the business. And, of course, Brooks had to make his experience unique. How? Well, let's just say people are going to be saying, "I had no idea Mel Brooks had eleven fingers!" for quite some time.
