'Batman: Arkham Knight' Release Date Delayed June 2015, Gameplay Trailer Spoilers [VIDEO] Rocksteady Taking Its Time On Highly Anticipated Video Game

Earlier this year we learned that the release date for Batman: Arkham Knight had been pushed to 2015, but we weren't given an exact date. Now Rocksteady and Warner Bros. announced that the highly anticipated game will hit shelves on June 2. That gives developers plenty of time to make the gameplay perfect, so let's hope that's what happens!

Here is the official Twitter announcement in regards to the release date:

There are a number of special preorder specials that are currently going on right now, including a $99.99 Limited Edition package that "comes with an 80-page art book, a SteelBook case, the Batman: Arkham Knight #0 comic book, three exclusive skins from The New 52, and a Batman Memorial Statue." Also a $199.99 Batmobile Edition preorder package that has a Batmobile statue instead of the Batman statue.

Though we have to wait longer for the game, it will most likely be worth it! A delayed release date means more time to work out gameplay bugs and advance play. Hopefully this is the only delay and we can look forward to June of next year!

Meanwhile, this title hits shelves in Japan about a month after the US release, but not for Xbox One players. Though it is coming out for PS4 and the Microsoft console in the States, Japanese gamers will need the Sony console for this title.
