Kate Middleton Kept Pregnancy Secret Until The Royal Family Found Out
It seems as though the royal family was let in on the secret right around the time the entire world found out that the young royal couple was expecting their second child together.
A source told Us Weekly that the royal family was let in on the baby news this weekend, only days before the news broke to the world.
"William and Kate told their parents the news this weekend," the source explains. The couple told Prince Charles, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, and Carole and Michael Middleton of their soon-to-be second grandchild. It looks as though Pippa Middleton and Prince Harry were second in line to find out the news, according to the source.
Kensington Palace released a statement confirming the pregnancy and also stating that the Duchess was not yet at the 12-week mark.
On Monday another source told Us that Middleton was approximately 8-weeks along and they just "very recently" discovered they were expecting.
While the Duchess has been experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum (acute morning sickness) which she experienced with George as well, Prince Williams said, "She's feeling okay, thanks. It's been a tricky few days - a week or so- but obviously we're basically thrilled. It's great news, early days," he told reporters yesterday at his visit to Oxford University. "But I'm hoping things settle down and she feels a bit better."
According to CNN when the Duchess of Cambridge went into labor over one year ago with Prince George, Prince Williams drove Middleton to the back entrance of Saint Mary's Hospital in an unmarked minivan. This was with minimal security and no royal entourage! He was born on July 22, 2013 at 4:24 p.m., weighting 8 pounds and 6 ounces. He would formally be known to the world as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
Now the world awaits the birth of the second royal baby!
