‘Saturday Night Live’ Hires Three New Writers: Natasha Rothwell, Streeter Seidell & Jeremy Beiler

To follow the news that Chris Pratt will be hosting the season 40 premiere of Saturday Night Live, the network announced that they'll be adding three more names to the writing staff as well: Natasha Rothwell, Streeter Seidell and Jeremy Beiler.

The new hires will join other freshly staffed writers Alison Rich and Nick Rutherford.

All three writer-performers have outstanding backgrounds in both fields, making them surefire wins for the NBC sketch show. Rothwell has made a name for herself as a UCB performer breaking ground in New York City; Seidell was the former Editor in Chief at College Humor and performed in episodes of Trophy Wife and MTV's Pranked; and Beiler is a PIT alum who has written for Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer and the Kurt Braunohler-led IFC series Bunk.

During last season's "draft" when SNL was chose to hire new cast member, Sasheer Zamata, it was rumored that the series could be looking at Rothwell as well. Ultimately, the decision was made to go with Zamata, which has obviously worked out. But now it looks like the show had other plans for Rothwell.

Check out a number of videos from the new writers' resumes below:

Be sure to watch the Season 40 premiere of Saturday Night Live on NBC this coming Sept. 27 at 11:30 p.m. with host Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy / Parks and Recreation) and musical guest Ariana Grande.
