Hilary Duff vs. Aaron Carter 'Obsession' - 'Chasing The Sun' Beauty Deems 'Undying Love' Weird, Still Married With Baby Boy! Ex-Boyfriend Heartbroken?

Hilary Duff dated singer Aaron Carter when they were just teenagers - back then, she was embroiled in a silly feud with fellow Disney sweetheart, Lindsay Lohan!

Those days are long past - 26-year-old Duff got married to NFL star Mike Comrie in 2010 and they had an adorable baby son together in March 2012. The couple's now separated, but still trying to work things out for the sake of their child. And STILL Carter is completely infatuated with the "Chasing The Sun" beauty - although they haven't seen each other in years!

In a recent BuzzFeed chat, the former "Lizzie McGuire" starlet finally addressed Carter's declaration of "undying love." Remember?

Back in March, Carter re-tweeted a photo of the recently-single Duff with the caption:

"Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever... Like me... I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think."

Later on, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 26-year-old pop star revealed he was still "absolutely" in love with his ex-flame.

"I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today... but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong... I'm going to do everything in my power to fix... the relationship I had with the love of my life."

And what does Duff think of this obsession?

Well, it's sort of awkward.

When asked about Carter's true feelings, Duff explained:

"I was not expecting this question... He does, I keep seeing that - that he keeps doing that. I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just... don't know each other. So... yeah. " 

The popular social media outlet then deems the situation "weird" - and Duff agrees.

"You said it, not me!"
