The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Spoilers: Are Raj and Emily Still Together?

One of the highlights of Season 7 of The Big Bang Theory was Raj (Kunal Nayyar) finally finding some romance that lasted more than a few moments. He met Emily (Laura Spencer) and the two struck up a relationship that survived through the finale. But will that still be the case when the show comes back for its Season 8 premiere?

The "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine confirms via showrunner Steve Molaro that Raj is still basking in his new relationship glow when The Big Bang Theory returns.

"When the sitcom returns, they will still be boyfriend and girlfriend. And Raj will still be on cloud nine. 'He's very much in the giddy, 'OK, I have a girlfriend and she's really cute and she likes me phase. And I get to see her naked,' previews showrunner Steve Molaro. 'They are still in the honeymoon of that. And as we go through the season, we will explore more of her personality and what she's really like.'"

Last season, we learned that horror/slasher movies turn on Emily, which prompted Raj to hit the play button as fast as humanly possible. So who knows what other quirks we might learn about her in Season 8?

In related news, here's what Molaro previously told TVLine about Season 8. "Season 8 picks up 45 days into Sheldon's head-clearing, cross-country train excursion, and all is not well. 'His belongings have been stolen and he needs Leonard to come pick him up in Arizona,' previews showrunner Steve Molaro. Making matters worse, he returns home to an angry girlfriend. 'Amy's not pissed at him for leaving, but she's certainly not thrilled that when he ran into trouble he called Leonard instead of her.' "
