Lil Wayne trades Rap for Skateboarding [VIDEO]
Lil Wayne plans on taking a little break from the rap scene, as he hopes to pursue a more involved role in the world of skateboarding.
According to Vibe, the Cash Money rapper told DJ Drama that something which was once just a fun hobby is now a way of life.
Vibe reports Lil Wayne stating, "I feel like the fans deserve a lil no Wayne. I've been everywhere. I've been out on everybody's song, I'm still on everybody's song, my artists are doing awesome. I believe the fans deserve some peace from me. I be on my skateboard in the meantime."
Although Lil Wayne's plans to step away from the mic to spend more time on the ramp seem pretty serious, his new mixtape "Dedication 4" is still set to be released on August 15th.
Some fans may not realize what a diehard skate fan Lil Wayne truly is, but the rapper even takes time to do some Ollie tricks during breaks when recording at the studio."I spend more time on the skateboard, 'cause even at the studio I have ramps and s##t," Wayne told DJ Drama. "In the booth literally I have something I can boardslide on and a quarter pipe. So I get off the mic, drop the board down and skate."
Maybe Lil Wayne can start up a new fad - dropping some beats on the mic while perfecting some new board tricks. Either way, doesn't look like Wayne is slowing down any time soon in pursuing his dreams.
