Dirk Nowitzki Performs David Hasselhoff Song on German TV Show 'My Spass' [VIDEO]
Dirk Nowitzki is apparently a whole lot more talented than anyone ever realized.
In his 16 years in the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks forward has won and championship and been named the league's overall and Finals MVP. Now, he can add music star to his list of accomplishments.
The 7-foot-tall Nowitzki appeared on the German TV show My Spass on Wednesday night and sent the live studio crowd into a frenzy when he and host Stefan Raab performed fellow German David Hasselfhoff's song, "Looking for Freedom."
Much to the delight of the audience, Nowitzki and Raab each pulled out their guitars and, following a brief tuning session between the two - and a wrong note by Nowitzki, to which he made a face at the camera - they entered into their rendition of the Baywatch star's 1989 hit.
"One morning in June, some twenty years ago, I was born a rich man's son," Raab began on his own. "I had everything that money could buy, but freedom I had none."
As the crowd began to clap along, Nowitzki joined in for the chorus, singing, "I've been looking for freedom, I've been looking so long. I've been looking for freedom, still the search goes on."

Apparently Nowitzki wasn't done with his throwback concert after just one song. For his encore, the NBA star began playing some chords from the 1990 Extreme song, "More than Words," which Raab was able to identify right away. Unfortunately for the crowd, though, Nowitzki cut off the tune after only a few seconds.
