Chris Brown Talks Rihanna Friendship, Drake Beef, And Therapist Helping Him Learn From Mistakes
Singer Chris Brown opened up about his time in prison and how humbling the experience was for him, ending beef with rapper Drake, and his friendship with ex-girlfriend and Pop star, Rihanna.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, the 25-year-old singer admitted that his time in jail brought a lot to perspective and says that seeing his therapist twice a week helps him deal and reflect on his mistakes, "I could have all the money in the world. I could be the biggest artist, but I could still be in that cell. They bringing me little peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, stale bread and roaches crawling. It's a life changing experience," Chris added, "As a young guy coming up in the industry at 15, you get the crash course. You don't get the course on how to grow up and how to learn from your mistakes or handle situations differently," said Chris who had time to reflect on things in jail. "I had to really kinda sit down and look at what I need to do to change my life."
As far as his back-and- forth relationship with the Barbadian singer, Rihanna he admitted that the two are still good friends after their up-and-downs the past 10 years, "We have a great understanding. There are no issues. That friendship speaks volumes without having to speak. We've known each other for almost 10 years. I don't think that's ever going to change. It is what it is; we're friends."
The "New Flame" singer recently told Los Angeles radio show Big Boys Neighborhood that he decided to end his feud with Drake because he wanted to remain on a positive route, "For me, it was more of a just mature thing to do," he added, "What I portray in my music is all positivity. Who I am as an artist, I try to portray the most positive aspect of who I am and just the world in general. We deal with so much negative on a day-to-day basis. It felt like it was necessary to put the whole bull behind me."
