Everybody loves Grumpy Cat and everybody also loves Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza. Clearly having them join forces for the upcoming Holiday movie Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, is a no-brainer; and having Plaza provide the voice of the Internet's biggest meme a-la Garfield is just genius! This new made-for-TV movie will air on Lifetime during the 2014 holiday season.

This all-important voice over role was allegedly offered to Glee star Jane Lynch, which would've been cool, but Plaza is definitely the ideal candidate for the job. Now we can put a voice to Grumpy Cat, real name Tardar Sauce, and most likely see some of our favorite versions of her meme acted out with a holiday twist!

Slash Film has the synopsis of this project:

In Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, Tardar Sauce is a cat living in a pet shop at the mall. Her lonely existence has led to a sour outlook, but her life changes one day when 12-year-old Chrystal (Megan Charpentier, Mama) walks into the store. The two become friends after Chrystal realizes she is the only person who can hear Tardar Sauce talk. Their ensuing adventure involves evil dognappers, life-and-death situations and, of course, the true meaning of Christmas.

Plaza's most recent work, Life After Beth, is currently in theaters. She portrays an undead, zombie girlfriend to Dane DeHaan.
