'The Bachelor' & 'Bachelorette' Secrets Revealed
The anticipated Bachelor season is beginning in few months time and it has the Bachelor fanatics beginning to get ancy. So we have collected some juicy fact about the behind the scenes action that takes place to hold you for the next couple of months.
Rose ceremony goes until 8am!
Ali Fedotowsky of Season six Bachelorette dishes to E! News that the hours you spend filming are long. "The rose ceremony the first night goes until about 8 a.m. - Yep, you head right, 8 a.m.!" she said. "Each girl still along has 5 maybe 15 minutes. If you have great chemistry, your silly stunt out of the limo doesn't really matter, he'll pick you anyway... but for the girls that don't really have great chemistry, they're desperate to be remembered."
You can't request specific contestants
Fedotowsky explains that you can't tell producers that you're into blondes and expect all blondes on the show. Producers are prone to pick contestants that look good on camera and can carry on adult conversations; I mean that's what ratings are all about, right?
Producers sometimes help you pick!
During the first filming it's hard to remember all the 26 contestants names, therefore making a grand entrance is worth the embarrassment for some. When Fedotowsky had a difficult time distinguishing the last couple of contestants the producers wouldn't let her necessarily allow her to get rid of the "interesting" ones but they did help her pick.
The audition process is insane
Formally known as Finals Weekend (what is this college?) is a twelve-hour audition meant to weed the unfit contestants from the crop. An intense interview process is used to see who doesn't crack under pressure. Courtney Robertson of season 16. dished, "They shuttle you to various conference and hotel rooms for different part of the audition. Not once during the entire day did I see another contestant. From the very start, producers want you laser-beam focused on the show."
