Over the weekend at the HeForShe campaign launch, recently appointed U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador and international movie starlet Emma Watson gave a tremendous speech about feminism and gender equality. This speech has gone viral already, so let's take a look at what everyone is talking about.

This new campaign, HeForShe, hopes to "galvanize one billion men and boys as advocates for ending the inequalities that women and girls face globally," according to Vanity Fair.

"I decided that I was a feminist. This seemed uncomplicated to me. But my recent research has shown me that feminism has become an unpopular word. Women are choosing not to identify as feminists. Apparently, [women's expression is] seen as too strong, too aggressive, anti-men, unattractive," she told the audience at the U.N. Headquarters in New York City this weekend. "Why has the word become such an unpopular one? I think it is right I am paid the same as my male counterparts. I think it is right that I should make decisions about my own body. I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and decisions that affect my life. I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men."

Watson also spoke about the fact that she starred in the Harry Potter films and that this might be a little confusing to the audience. She handled this well, stating she cares about the is problem.

Clearly these words are powerful enough, but the emotion that Watson expressed in person while speaking has taken over the Internet. Watch the video of Watson's speech and let us know what you think of it in the comments section below:
