'True Detective' Season 2 Casting Rumors, Plot Spoilers: Vince Vaughn Joins Colin Farrell For 2015 Episode For Nic Pizzolatto's HBO Series
Yet another one of the True Detective season 2 casting rumors has been confirmed. After Colin Farrell's leading role confirmation this week, Vince Vaughn has also been confirmed as signed on for the 2015 episodes of Nic Pizzolatto's HBO series. This news also comes with some characters and plot spoilers. Now the next question is whether or not we'll see a Taylor Kitsch confirmation as well!

As previously rumored, Vaughn is set to portray the antagonist - or at least one of them - in the new episodes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO stated that Vaughn will play "Frank Semyon, a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner."
Meanwhile, Farrell will portray "Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him."
