The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: Many Main Characters Will Die

Season 4 of The Walking Dead featured some deaths, but it was nothing like the bloodbath of previous seasons. According to a new report, the show will add many more names to the body count in Season 5.

The "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine reports, directly and to the point, that main characters will die this season. "You know how last season the major-character-body-count was relatively low? That will not be the case in Season 5," the site reports.

In related news, newcomer Andrew J. West spoke to EW.com about his role as Gareth, the presumed leader of Terminus. He spoke lengthily about the character and also offered the following assessment of how Gareth views Rick (Andrew Lincoln).

"I think he probably sees Rick in a lot of ways as a kindred spirit. Obviously, right off the bat he identifies him as the ringleader. It's kind of the nickname that he gives Rick in the finale. And right away he can tell that this guy's tough, that he's survived and that he knows how to survive. And that he is a really strong-willed guy. And I believe that Gareth respects that kind of person. So yeah, I think that's generally how Gareth views Rick when he meets him in the finale. Even after the brief encounters that they have."
