'The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev Comes To 'The Originals' - 'TVD' Star Crossing Over To New Orleans Supernatural Drama
Fans of The Vampire Diaries better hold on to their seats because we have some pretty big news for you. Nina Dobrev will be making her way to down south to New Orleans for The CW supernatural drama The Originals. Creator of both shows, Julie Plec, confirmed the new earlier today, and we couldn't be more excited.
Plec sat down with E! New and laid down the full scoop on what will be happening in the worlds of vampires and originals this season, and trust us when we say that the spoilers are oh so juicy.
E!'s Kristin Dos Santos got some amazing info out of the creator, who revealed that Nina would be making a crossover appearance in The Originals at some point during this season, but why is Dobrev traveling from Mystic Falls to New Orleans?
Well it all comes down to one word... love.
"There's a lot of people that could cross over," Julie explained. "When we plan our crossovers we like to think of the most clever way to integrate The Vampire Diaries mythology into The Originals mythology."
"There was a character's name introduced a long time ago in season three in association with Klaus and Elijah and how they become vampires and a girl that they both loved a long time ago who was the original doppelganger, Tatia," Plec explains. "So Nina Dobrev will be visiting The Originals for a nice little storyline in our fifth episode which airs November 3."
Watch the full interview with Plec at E! and tune into the season premieres of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals when they debut on The CW on October 2 and Octoer 6.
