SWV, is one of the biggest R&B Groups of the 90s, and is trying to make it big in 2014. The 3 reunited singers have returned once again for an all-new season of SWV Reunited.
Following a successful tour, the ladies of SWV are back on WE tv. During this season fans watch as many secrets were unfolded.
MStars News reporter, Star Connor got to chat and get up, close, and personal with the ladies of the group as they reveal it all.
In the '90s, the ladies of SWV (an abbreviation for Sisters with Voices) —Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Leanne “Lelee” Lyons and Tamara “Taj” George—were on top of the music world. From the streets of New York to superstardom, they had a string of top ten R&B hits including I’m So Into You, Right Here, Downtown, Weak, and You’re Always On My Mind. With over 15 million albums sold, and multiple Grammy, Billboard and American Music Award nominations, SWV seemed unstoppable -- however in 1998, the drama behind the scenes tore the group apart.
After marriage, kids and other endeavors, the trio decided to reunite for a chance to recapture their fame, and WE tv's hit series SWV Reunited captures all the highs and lows as these three strong and talented ladies figure out how to perform together and trust each other once again.
In 2012, their sultry sound was introduced to a new generation of fans with the new album I Miss Us, which earned a Grammy nod for “Best Traditional R&B Performance.” Following a successful tour, SWV begins to record a new album, but secrets from the past, management drama, health emergencies and devastating personal problems threaten the future of the group.
