3 Things You Need To Know About ‘Revenge’ Season 4

ABC's Revenge returns for its fourth season, and Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) is returning to the Hamptons for more payback.

This season, however, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) is in the driver's seat, and David Clarke (James Tupper) will reveal that he is still alive.

Here are three other things you have to look forward to this season on Revenge:

1. Jack Porter is now a police officer.

Jack (Nick Wechsler) is trading in his bartending ways for a new job with a badge. Although he is still the owner of the Stowaway, this season he will be a more active character as a cop.

"He became a cop to empower himself against all injustice, against any further injustice done to anyone he cares about ... He wants to do his small part and right wrongs, you know? It's akin to what Emily is doing, except it's legal," Weschler told TV Line.

2. Emily and Jack will toy with becoming a real couple.

Emily and Jack have a twisted past, starting when they were children in the Hamptons, and now that Jack knows Emily is really Amanda Clarke, the girl he grew up loving, there is even more tension than before. Even though we would love to see them live happy ever after, Weschler does not think it should be that easy.

"I'm excited to see what happens with Jack and Emily because I want to see them reconnect and get drawn back together. I think we're going to see some of that, a little bit, this season. There's a lot of crazy shit coming up," Weschler told E! Online.

Despite the fact that the two childhood friends clearly have feelings for one another, Weschler said, "There needs to be some consequence for her choosing this path for so long. That makes the most sense to me and would be the coolest way to play it out, but who knows."

"I wouldn't be surprised if ABC was just, like, 'No. They're getting together and they're going to be happy when it happens,'" he added.

3. David Clarke's return changes everything.

The fact that David, whose death and destruction has fueled Emily's revenge plan for the past three seasons, is alive will alter everything we knew about the series.

"That is huge! That changes everything. That changes the engine of revenge for next season. What are the implications? We don't know yet. We don't know the direction it's going to take. He has presumably known this whole time that his daughter has been doing this stuff. What does that mean? Was he allowing it to happen? Was he happy about it? Was he not?" Weschler told Zap2It after the Season 3 finale.

When Jack first sees David, there are a lot of different things that go through his mind.

"There's a part of him that still thinks, 'That's the father of the girl I've wanted my whole life.' He's mind-blown, but also he knows what a huge deal this is for Emily that he's still alive, so it's mostly watching her expression, wanting to see how this affects her, how she's doing now that he's back," he explained to E! Online.
