'Call Me Maybe' Batman Parody [VIDEO]
Parody after parody, but the humor just doesn't seem to end. Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen hit a 2012 landmark this week as her hit "Call me Maybe" landed the no. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 for its ninth week (beating out David Gotye's previous eight-week record with his tune "Somebody That I Used to Know").
The catchy chorus to "Call me Maybe" makes it an easy target for any parody enthusiast. The latest one to hit the web combines Jepsen's megahit with themes from director Chris Nolan's latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises." The video parody, directed by Wesley Freitas, reinvents the popular "Dark Knight Rises" scene where Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character John Blake reveals that he's discovered Bruce Wayne's (Christian Bale) secret alter ego (Batman!).
Out of the many "Call me Maybe" parodies to hit the web, this is probably one of the more detailed and better-executed ones. Check it out:
Carly Rae Jepsen recently announced the release of her second album "Kiss," which will hit stores on Sept. 18.
