‘Parenthood’ Star Monica Potter Admits The Cast Is 'All Afraid' Of The Upcoming Death
Parenthood is in its final season on NBC and every episode brings more and more heart-wrenching moments to the television screen. After five seasons, it is going to be hard to say goodbye to the Braverman family for both the fans and the cast.
"Kleenex will be happy! Invest now, get some stock for sure," Monica Potter told E! News when asked what fans needed to prepare for the final sixth season. Monica Potter, who plays Kristina Braverman revealed that even the cast doesn't know exactly what is in store for the farewell season.
"I know that there's something that is monumental that happens, but none of us really know yet," said Potter about the elephant in the room, an upcoming death of one of the show's leading characters. "We haven't gotten the scripts. It's going to be someone. I don't know, I have a guess of who it is."
"I think one person might know and it's probably the person that it's going to happen to, but nobody else does," she added.
Based on Zeek's (played by Craig T. Nelson) medical history, he might be the death that is looming over the final season. No matter who dies, we will be sad and most likely shocked. "I think in some weird way we're not talking about it because we're all afraid of it. Subconsciously we all don't want to face that because if I'm right in my hunch in who it is, I don't know how I'm going to deal with that. Even though it's not real," the 43-year-old actress admitted to the publication.
In addition to death and emotional heartache, this season shows the Braverman children fighting per usual. In tonight's episode, titled "Happy Birthday, Zeek" TV Guide teased that Adam is fighting with one of his siblings yet again.
"Adam is always the responsible one, but his obligations to his parents — and specifically helping his dad post-collapse — will conflict with his spousal duties to Kristina. Naturally, that will cause some serious tension between Adam and one of his siblings. (But it's not Sarah this time!)" TV Guide revealed.
No matter what happens during the sixth and final season of Parenthood, it is going to be sad. "We've seen each other through a lot of hard times and great times. We've had babies on the show and real life. There's been marriages and breakups and things, just like the Bravermans. We've all been there to hold each other's hand along the way. It's going to be a sad day when we wrap," Potter admitted to E! News.
