Sexy Selena Gomez Blasted By Former Co-Star Jeff Garlin, Calls Her Sexualization 'Disgusting!' Justin Bieber To Blame?
Selena Gomez has been going through a hard time lately. Amid reports the starlet has broken up with boyfriend Justin Bieber again, now her former co-star is taking aim at her. In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Gomez's former Wizards of Waverly Place co-star Jeff Garlin goes after what he calls the "sexualization" of the young actress.
"I worked with her for three years, and I love her. She is, at least in terms of what I saw, a great kid. But then I see her sexualized," he said. "I know she was in 'Spring Breakers' and all that. By the way, I saw 'Spring Breakers,' and I'm by myself in the theater, and I couldn't have felt dirtier."
Garlin goes on to compare her to pop star Ariana Grande whom he thinks is also baring too much on stage.
"The thing is, when I see her sexualized, I look at her and I look at Ariana Grande, both beautiful girls. Really beautiful girls. But they have baby fat. They look like kids," the Curb Your Enthusiasm star said. "Great bikini shots of Selena Gomez? I don't go there. I see the thing, but I see those chubby cheeks. She's a kid. This is disgusting, that it's happening so young."
He doesn't totally blame the singer for her new sexy image. He thinks the cause is the internet and social media.
"I'm not like clean-cut Johnson. Maybe it's because I know [Gomez] intimately. It's like she's young, she's a kid," he said. "It didn't happen 30 years ago. ... I'll blame the internet."
The comedian is currently on a publicity tour promoting the new season of his ABC hit show The Goldbergs.
Do you agree with Jeff or is he out of line? Does Justin Bieber have anything to do with her new image?
