Kelly Clarkson Caught at 'Vampire Diaries' Set, Singer Is a TVD Fangirl [PHOTO]

Kelly Clarkson appeared on "The Vampire Diaries" set Wednesday and a photo of her together with Claire Holt was snapped, posted on Twitter, and then retweeted numerous times.   Instead of guest starring on the show, Clarkson was there to tour TVD set as a fangirl.

TVD has many high profile fans including US Olympian Gabby Douglas who deems the show her favorite.  The American Idol Season 1 winner was delighted to be able to hang out with the cast.

Executive creator of TVD Julie Plec happens to be a fan of Kelly Clarkson and had attended Clarkson's show with The Fray at the Hollywood Bowl in LA.  The two met up after the show through Plec's connections and discovered Clarkson was a fan of TVD.  She then tweeted, "And....as the capper to the night I just met @kelly_clarkson who it turns out is #TVDFamily.  Gonna give her a set tour next week."

Plec stayed true to her words and Clarkson did get a tour indeed.
