Whitney Houston Remembered on 49th Birthday, Twitter and Tattoos
Thursday marks what would have been pop sensation Whitney Houston's 49th birthday. The late singer is remembered and honored by her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon through affectionate posts on Twitter. The couple also got matching tattoos emblazoned with the initials "WH" in remembrance of the woman whom they both considered a loving mother.
On Wednesday Brown, 19, tweeted:
@RealbkBrown: "Haven't been tweeting much today, I'm sowwy. I'm REALLY REALLY missing my mommy today. 2morrow is #MOMMYSBDAY of course."
Then later Brown followed up with:
@RealbkBrown: "Once it hits 12 am mommy it's your birthday&I am going2celebrate it2thee fullest!" she added. "Bc YOU deserve it damn it, YOU deaerveNothingburtheBEST!"
Gordon, 22, who Houston helped raise as a child, also posted:
@nickdgordon: "Happy Birthday Mom You will be forever missed."
The couple also visited Inksomnia Tattoo in Alpharetta, GA on Wednesday night, getting matching tattoo designs on their right wrists featuring Houston's initials, a quartet of the beloved birds of peace, and two small crosses.
Brown tweeted:

The R&B/pop singer Houston was found dead in her room at the Beverly Hills Hotel on February 9, 2012, the cause officially ruled as an "accidental drowning." Houston will star in the upcoming drama "Sparkle" alongside Jordin Sparks and Terrence Jenkins. The film hits theaters August 17.
Sparks reveres Houston as a true inspiration on set, stating, "I wish everybody could have been there like a fly on the wall to see her walk on to set every day," Sparks told us. "She was so excited to be there, to be doing all of this."
