Kelly Clarkson Pregnancy Rumors- 'American Idol' Alum Holding Off On Baby No. 2 To Focus On New Music

Kelly Clarkson might have just added a new baby to her family, but it looks like River Rose is going to be an only child for the time being. While Clarkson has said that she'd love to have a big family, it looks like she is putting any expansion plans on the back burner for now to focus on her career, and fans around the world are thanking her for the decision.

According to The Spec, a source revealed to Star magazine that the "People Like Us" singer is putting baby number two on hold so that she can get back to her career.

"She has been run ragged," the source explained. "Their daughter is a blessing, but she can't imagine getting pregnant again, especially anytime soon."

The source also reveals that it is not only about being pregnant again but also the fact that being with child would mean that she would have to put off her career for another year.

"Having another baby would mean delaying any plans to record an album for at least a year," the insider revealed. "She doesn't want her fans to forget about her."

While we could never forget about our first American Idol, Clarkson did reveal last month that she was in the process of writing new music for her album.

The star announced the news via her Twitter account, where she posted some lyrics to one of her new songs.

"The high road can be a lonely place but I'd rather talk to my shadow than a mirage," the singer wrote on her social media account, following it up with another tweet explaining, "Okay haha my last tweet was referring 2 a song that's going on my new album. Things r great n my world! The song is about the high road :)."

As we previously reported, the singer also teased a possible release date for the new LP stating, "Doesn't come out until early next year."
