Actress Raven-Symoné had twitter followers losing their mind after she stated that she was not African-American during her interview with Oprah Winfrey's "Where Are They Now?"

The former "Cosby Show" star revealed that she was in a relationship with a same-sex partner and admitted she did not like to be labeled as gay and/or and African American.

The 28-year-old opened up about her "coming out" tweet, "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you" after the Supreme Court found a ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.

The "That's So Raven" actress explained, "That was my way of saying I'm proud of the country. But, I will say that I'm in an amazing, happy relationship with my partner. A woman."

Raven went in on the moment she first discovered her interest in women at 12, and surprised Oprah when she preferred if others do not label her sexuality before stirring the pot on her nationality, "I don't want to be labeled 'gay.' I want to be labeled 'a human who loves humans.'" She added, "I'm tired of being labeled," she said. "I'm an American. I'm not an African American; I'm an American."

Oprah replied shockingly, "Oh, girl," a surprised Winfrey said. "Don't set up Twitter on fire...Oh, my lord. What did you just say?"

The veteran TV host was right. Critics immediately lashed out on the celebrity via Twitter:

@theferocity  tweeted, "I'm gonna have to listen to Nina Simone for the rest of the work-day to get that Raven-Symone interview out of my system."

@FilmFatale_NYC  tweeted, "P.S. - I loved the look on Oprah's face tho' when Raven-Symone said she doesn't consider herself African-American"

@juhneda  tweeted, "Raven Symone said she don't wanna be labeled but somehow she's OK with the label the dominant culture uses: 'American'."

@ChronicBratface  tweeted, "I've always loved Raven Symone but when she speaks on situations like sexuality and race, she comes off as very ignorant."
