Fantasia's First Baby Daddy, Brandel Shouse Wants Custody Of His Daughter, Zion

Fantasia Barrino is no stranger to battles, as she is preparing for another war this time fighting her first baby daddy for custody of their daughter, Zion.

According to Sister 2 Sister Zion's father, Brandel Shouse is filing for full custody claming that Fantasia is an unfit mother after she has raised their child since birth.

Shouse, is the singer's high school sweetheart, and in the past confessed to physically abusing Fantasia now wants to raise Zion, according to the lawsuit.

However, Fantasia is firing back claiming that Zion's father hasn't been a part of her life despite living in the same state as his daughter only a few hours away. In Fantasia's statement her rep reveals that Zion's father has not contributed to his daughter financially at all either. 

“Despite living in North Carolina, Mr. Shouse had very little personal contact with Zion and has provided no financial support for her. The case will not be heard until 2015,” the statement said.

Fantasia's fans know a thing or two about the ups and downs this singer is going through, after-all she does have a song about "babymama's."

“Fantasia hopes that her fans understand the sensitive nature of these matters and that she cannot share with them all of the details at this time,” Fantasia’s rep shared.

Some reports show that Fantasia is increasing child support, as a result of her baby daddy's lawsuit. The American Idol winner heads to court in 2015.
