WWE taped the 15th Anniversary episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which will air October 10, on Tuesday in Philadelphia, and the show begins with Stephanie McMahon.

She kicks off the show by taking about SmackDown's history. John Laurinaitis comes out to talk about People Power. Teddy Long, who had been let go by the company earlier this year, returns to confront Laurinaitis. Stephanie, perhaps inspired by Teddy, books a 7-on-7 tag team match for later in the show: Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny.

Adam Rose comes out while the opening segment is still happening. Stephanie books him in a match on the spot with Corporate Kane, who promptly squashes Rose.

AJ Lee defeats Alicia Fox with the Black Widow. Paige comes out but the Divas Champion fights off her and Alicia to stand tall in the ring.

Seth Rollins defeats Kofi Kingston. According to reports, Rollins was very aggressive throughout the match and was starting to feel the pressure of so many people targeting him. Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble were both at ringside with Rollins.

Rusev defeats Dolph Ziggler in a non-tile match with the Accolade. Lana then cuts a promo on The Rock and says he will pay for his actions on Monday Night Raw. She challenges Big Show to a match against Rusev next week.

A backstage segment between Triple H, The Rock and Stephanie McMahon airs. They cracked some jokes, but there was tension among them and even the tease of a WrestleMania match between the two. Stephanie calms them both. The Rock was apparently wearing the same outfit he had on Raw, so they may have taped this backstage at the Barclays Center on Monday.

Team Teddy (Mark Henry, Sheamus, The Usos, Jack Swagger and Los Matadores) defeats Team Johnny (Cesaro, Goldust and Stardust, Bo Dallas, Damien Mizdow, Titus O'Neil and Heath Slater) when the Usos pin Mizdow. Cesaro even uses the Giant Swing in this match!

John Cena and Dean Ambrose appear on Miz TV in the final segment. Miz announces before he brings out both men that the match between the two at Hell in a Cell would be a "No Holds Barred Contract on a Pole Match." The two competitors then come out for the segment and use Miz as the butt of all their jokes. Cena hits Ambrose with the Attitude Adjustment as payback for Raw as the show goes off the air.
