Arrow Season 3 Spoilers: Oliver and Felicity's Relationship After Season Premiere
The long-awaited Season 3 premiere of Arrow finally arrives tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 8 on the CW. The episode will feature the first date between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), a moment many of the show's fans have been looking forward to for years.
But because this is Arrow, the date is likely to go horribly wrong and will probably end with Oliver drawing his bow against an assailant. The "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine has more information on how the Season 3 premiere affects Oliver and Felicity's relationship.
"Due to the events of the season premiere - some of which are expected, and some of which are not - Oliver and Felicity's 'relationship is going to take ups and downs and twists and turns,' executive producer Marc Guggenheim teases. 'I think part of the fun - or agony - of watching these two people is they're together, they're apart, they're together, they're apart. We'll see what the future holds for them.'"
If you need a refresher before tonight, here's the official description for the Season 3 premiere.
"OLIVER SEARCHES FOR AN IDENTITY BEYOND THE ARROW - With crime in Starling City at an all-time low thanks to the Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his team, Oliver thinks he can finally balance being both the Arrow and Oliver Queen and asks Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) out on a date. However, when a new villain (guest star Peter Stormare) emerges, who has claimed the name Vertigo from the recently deceased Count, Oliver is caught off-guard and someone close to him is hurt. Oliver and a newly suited up Roy (Colton Haynes) take on the Count. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) becomes a father, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is promoted to Captain, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) joins Arrow's inner circle and Felicity gets a part-time job at a tech store to make ends meet. Also, Oliver fights to regain his company, Queen Consolidated, but comes up against a very worthy opponent - the charming Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh). Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Jake Coburn."
