It's finally that time of year - hockey season!

The Toronto Maple Leafs battle it out on the ice against the Montreal Canadiens in Game 1 of the series on Wednesday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. EST at Ontario's Air Canada Centre. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the "Opening Day" hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.

Heading into the 2014 regular season, the Maple Leafs snag the No. 19 spot in ESPN.com's official NHL power rankings:

"As long as Jonathan Bernier stays healthy, the Leafs are going to be a factor in the Atlantic Division playoff race."

Meanwhile, the Canadiens currently hold the No. 15 spot (out of 30 total teams):

"The Habs got younger in the offseason, but did they get better? Carey Price is as good as they come between the pipes, and that will help overcome lots of growing pains. How does P.K. Subban react to signing his big offseason deal? The playoffs are pretty much a given, but then what?"

The game will be broadcasted live on RSN, but fans can also listen in on the radio at CHML, AM 640, TSN 690, and 98,5 FM.
