Evan Daugherty Eyes Frank J. Barbiere, Chris Mooneyham's 'Five Ghosts' For Syfy Channel!
Another popular title from the Image Comics lineup is about to make its way to a well-known cable network. With an adaptation in place by Evan Daugherty, the paranormal/adventure comic book series, Five Ghosts by Frank J. Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham, is being eyed by the Syfy channel.
According to the official Image Comics website, infamous treasure hunter Fabian Gray has a tragic encounter with a supernatural artifact known as "The Dreamstone." After stumbling upon the artifact, Gray is suddenly possessed by five literary ghosts. The treasure hunter is now possessed by the unique abilities by Robin Hood, Dracula, Merlin, Sherlock Holmes, and Miyamoto Musashi. In the comics, they are referred to as "The Archer," "The Wizard," The Vampire," "The Detective" and "The Samurai."
According to Deadline, the adaptation will be written by the Snow White and the Huntsman scribe. Chris Bender and Jake Weiner will be executive producing the horror-drama. Jake Wagner will serve as the producer for Universal Cable Prods. and BenderSpink.
