John Witherspoon Death Hoax, Twitter Fans Humorously React

No, John Witherspoon is not dead. Yes, Twitter is still blowing up about the rumors that he is. After a hoax began spreading through Twitterland on Thursday night with the hashtag "RIP John Witherspoon," the 70-year-old actor/comedian responded in humor, tweeting:

@John_POPS_Spoon: "What the Hell y'all talking bout on Here?!??" "I ain't "DEAD" I'm in Ft Lauderdale at the Hard Rock Cafe Gettin dat Paper."

He then posted:

@John_POPS_Spoon: "Hey but since I'm #Trending y'all better follow me and spread the word that "I AIN'T DEAD."

Later adding: "Hey since ya'll care about me so much go check out my Cooking show on YouTube."
