Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden Engaged? Actress Arrives At Event Wearing A Ring!

Oh how we love a good mystery! A visibly happy Cameron Diaz showed up to the Academy's Hollywood Costume luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 8, wearing what appeared to be a new sparkling ring. Has boyfriend Benji Madden proposed?

An eyewitness tells PEOPLE that the actress took a seat at the luncheon and was "casually and constantly twirling her ponytail, showing off the ring and often playing with it."

Their has been no confirmation of an engagement from either party.

Diaz has had her strew of Hollywood men come and go in her life, however friends and sources say Madden is different, he makes her a different person. Regarding marriage, Diaz once told Esquire magazine that marriage "just wasn't the thing I was drawn to."

An entertainment sources tells PEOPLE that Cameron has indeed changed for the better since being with madden. "Since she started dating Benji, Cameron has changed in a very positive way. She can't stop smiling and seems much happier," the source adds. "Benji has lived with Cameron for the past couple of months. They act like they can't get enough of each other and spend a lot of time together. During the days, they often share a workout. At night, they often stay at home and cook." 

The Other Woman actress has had countless relationships with Hollywood elite such as, Justin Timberlake from (2003-2006) and New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez from (2010-2011) None of her relationship have resulted in marriage or children, so could Madden be the one?

In a 2009 interview with Cosmopolitan UK she states that women are afraid to say that they don't want children.

"I have more girlfriends who don't have kids than those that do. And honestly? We don't need any more kids. We have plenty of people on this planet," Diaz said. Asked if she ever wanted to have kids, she replied, "I never say never. I don't know what's going to happen. I could end up adopting half a dozen kids, or I could end up being the next Octo-mom––who frickin' knows?"
