‘Dancing With The Stars’ Switch Up: Meet The New Teams For Week Five
As Dancing With the Stars season 19 heads into its fifth week of competition, everything is about to change. This week brings the dreaded switch up, where each contestant's partner is changed. On Monday the nine remaining contestants will dance with completely new partners, for better or for worse.
Monday will also bring new dance styles. The pros will now be able to dance styles like burlesque, flamenco and hip-hop. Plus, this week there will be a new guest judge, British singer Jessie J will be added to the panel, ABC has announced. On Thursday, Good Morning America released the new pairings, so here is what you will see on tomorrow's all-new episode!
Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett was originally paired with So You Think You Can Dance alum Allison Holker and is best known for his awesome ode to Mean Girls performance last week, where he wore pink. His new partner is Peta Murgatroyd. Jonathan and Peta will be dancing to the jitterbug this week.
Tommy Chong (from That '70s Show) was originally partners with Peta and has performed killer dances such as the "Jailhouse Rock" routine last week. He will now be paired with Emma Slater and they will be doing the mambo on Monday.
YouTube star Bethany Mota was Derek Hough's original partner dancing to "Call Me Maybe" in week two. She will now be partnered with Mark Ballas. The pair will be doing a hip-hop routine for their first dance.
In a direct switch, Sadie Robertson will now be partnered with Derek. Her first partner was Mark, who is now with Bethany. Mark and Sadie are best known for rocking their Duck Dynasty tribute performance where they dressed as a duck and a duck hunter. Sadie and Derek will be teaming up for the Charleston now that they are partners.
Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish was originally with Val Chmerkovskiy, and was one of the front-runners with routines that have earned her a perfect score. Janel will now be dancing with Artem Chigvintsev in a burlesque number.
Fresh Prince of Bel Air star, Alfonso Ribeiro was partnered with Witney Carson in the beginning. Their routine featuring "The Carlton" last week was one of the best routines all season. Now Alfonso will be paired with Cheryl Burke and they will take on the flamenco.
Antonio Sabato Jr. was originally Cheryl's partner and the two have performed numerous sexy numbers. He will now be dancing with Allison to a Bollywood number.
Back to the Future alum Lea Thompson was Artem's first partner, dancing to an iconic Back to the Cha-Cha routine and a gorgeous contemporary number last week. She will now be partnered with Val for a Broadway piece.
Last but not least, former racecar driver Michael Waltrip was originally paired with Emma, and they have won over the judges with their personalities week after week. This week Michael is paired with Witney and they will be doing the disco.
