Nicki Minaj is featured in the October 2014 issue of L'Uomo Vogue, the men's version of Vogue Italia.

In an interview with the magazine, the YMCMB Rapstress admits, though she still has professional goals to reach, she can't help but think about starting a family. She was very straightforward and specific about her upcoming goals. Minaj wants to earn "five hundred million dollars and leave a permanent mark on the world of music." All within four years, after which, she will retreat and become a full-time mother.

"I don't want to work my whole life without ever experiencing the joys of a family," the 31-year-old told L'Uomo Vogue, "I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child."

Today, however, Minaj is still hard at work creating her "empire" in an industry dominated by males. To gain respect, Minaj had to create a name for herself through her cameos in the songs of other male rappers (such as Monster with Kanye West, Jay-Z and Rick Ross). She constructed a persona with colorful wigs and eccentric costumes that highlight her body's curves. "At first no one took me seriously. In the world of rap, women are usually relegated to the choir."

The singer, born Onika Maraj, is originally from Trinidad and Tobago and is author of hits like Anaconda, Super Bass and Starships. According to L'Uomo Vogue, Minaj takes credit in personally managing all of her business affairs and is the only woman to have ever appeared on the Cash Kings list of highest paid rappers compiled by Forbes, the latest version placing her at number four, with 29 million dollars earned in 2013.

"I want to build my empire. In my field, I have always seen men do it- from Diddy to Dr. Dre to Jay-Z. Now it's a woman's turn."

Minaj went on to explain how much more inspired she was to have it all after performing with Beyoncé during her On the Run tour. The talented duo performed the "Flawless Remix." Backstage, however, Minaj got to see Queen Bey interact with daughter Blue Ivy.

"Seeing Beyoncé with her daughter and husband was so tender," she gushed. "It showed me that it is possible to be an animal on stage and a caring mother at the same time."

Minaj dreams about having her own traditional family with an "upright man, who will take care of me," she says. "Family has always been very important to me, and that is why I want to wait until the right moment before starting my own," she said. "Right now I am too busy, but at a certain point the situation will change."

Minaj will soon be releasing her her third album, entitled The Pink Print on Nov. 29.
