CW's 'The Flash' Spoilers: Will Grant Gustin's Barry Allen Become "Fastest Man Alive?" [WATCH]
After months and months of teasing, The Flash arrived on the CW as a ratings blockbuster. Now that the scarlet speedster is destined to become DC Comics' superhero on the television screen, how soon will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) become the 'Fastest Man Alive?'
From our previous recap, we witnessed the origin story of how Barry (Gustin) ended up with his super-speed powers. Due to a particle accelerator explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs, lightning struck Barry and threw him into a cabinet of chemicals. Not only did Barry end up with powers, half of the civilian population of Central City have also become metahumans.
If you take a look at the screenshot, you will notice the costume change. In the pilot, Barry wasn't wearing the lightning symbol on his chest because his outfit was a prototype. In the trailer, we now see Barry in his red costume saving innocent lives, but also exerting himself. Barry may seem to be having fun with his newfound powers, but there are also the other metahumans he will deal with.
According to International Business Times, DC super villain Danton Black (played by Michael Christopher Smith) makes his appearance in this week's all-new episode. In the comics, Danton is also known as by the name of Multiplex, a superhuman who can split himself into multiple clones.
Interestingly, Multiplex is a common enemy of Firestorm. As we reported here, Firestorm will be played in an upcoming episode of Robbie Amell (Stephen Amell's cousin). Mentioned by The Hollywood Reporter, Amell will play Ronnie Raymond and Victor Garber portrays Dr. Martin Stein, the other half of Firestorm.
Will Multiplex come back in a future episode to take on Firestorm?
