Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Wedding Delayed, Wants Long Engagement
Miley Cyrus graces the cover of the September issue of Marie Claire and spills her heart about being engaged to hottie Liam Hemsworth. She also revealed that a wedding will not be taking place anytime soon.
"I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other," she told Marie Claire. "And we want to have a long engagement."
Cyrus is known for speaking her heart out, despite the controversy it may cause. She also knows that in life, love is the most important thing to cherish and appreciate.
"Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with,"Cyrus said, referring to Hemsworth with whom she starred as his onscreen love for the 2009 movie, The Last Song.
The pair have been dating on and off for several years and when Hemsworth popped the question, Cyrus said it was a "complete surprise".
The ring was also a huge surprise for the 19-year-old.
"I had no input," Cyrus explained. "We'd been kind of talking about getting engaged . . . I saw it online at one point and thought it was really pretty."
She is very happy with it. Cyrus, 19, and Hemsworth, 22, are not in a rush to tie the knot. They've already confessed their love and are confident in each other.
