Uma Thurman Being Sued By Ex Arpad Busson For Custody of Their Two-Year-Old Daughter
Another Hollywood custody battle is brewing once again. This time between Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman and French financer Arpad Busson. Thurman's ex-boyfriend, and father of their two-year-old daughter, Luna, has ordered an emergency order in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday.
The French financier and the actress gave birth to Luna back in July 2012. Thurman has two other children with former husband, actor Ethan Hawke; daughter Maya and son Levon.
After many media outlets reported the former couple's news, it appears the legal papers are sealed within the courts during this time. Because of that, it is currently unknown what the exact cause of the custody battle is.
Although Bussom's party has yet to confirm, Thurman's rep told ET, "We are optimistic that a fair agreement for both sides will be reached out of court."
The couple has dated on and off since 2007, they announce their engagement in June 2008 only to call it off in 2009, however, reconciling soon after. Ultimately, the two called off their engagement for the second time this April.
Their daughter's full name is Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. Regarding the unique and very lengthy name, the Kill Bill actress accredits that from her oldest daughter. "[Maya] came up with the best excuse," she told Jimmy Fallon during an interview. "We couldn't quite agree on the name. We call her Luna, so she's lucky that way. And then the rest, she can name all her own children all these interesting names," she joked. "Proud, Catholic, observant!"
Arpad Busson, 51, is a London based French financer. He is also the Chairman and founder of the EIM Group, a fund of Funds Company.
Busson is no stranger to Hollywood as he dated supermodel Elle Macpherson in 1996, they have two sons together: Arpad Flynn Busson, 16, and Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson, 11.
