Looks like Justin Bieber isn't the only one getting his big break from the internet! According to Broadway.com, YouTube sensation Chester See has been cast in the role of Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages. The young singer will be performing onstage at the venerable Helen Hayes Theatre on Oct. 27 through Jan. 4.

See, of course, is an Internet personality who entertains his many, many fans through pop covers, comedy videos and original songs.

Producer Matt Weaver announced the news Tuesday, saying, "I looked at this as an exciting opportunity to do something that wouldn't be expected. He's got a real audience at YouTube, he's got a real voice there, and I think that audience is going to travel to Broadway."

See, a theater arts UCLA graduate, has over 1.5 million YouTube subscribers and 161 million channel views. He's also earned over four million hits for his video, "Whistle While I Work It."

"We are never putting anyone in the show that's a gimmick or that's a joke or that can't do the job," Weaver stressed. "First and foremost, we're not putting anyone on the stage who is not great."

The musical, like the 2012 Tom Cruise film of the same name, takes ticketholders back to 1987 on the Sunset Strip, where Drew comes to Hollywood in chase of a dream. He ends up meeting small town girl Sherrie. What's the catch? Can the two lovebirds maintain their relationship while making their life long dreams of stardom come true?

"Rock of Ages has always led the charge of being innovative," said Weaver. "Hopefully, it does open up a new world. This guy has 1.5 million fans who tune in and look at his content every single week. I find it hard to believe that a good portion of those people are not going to come buy tickets to the show." Well put, Weaver!

Fans of See can hear him preform songs such as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Cum on Feel the Noize" and "I Wanna Know What Love Is" beginning this coming Oct. 27!
