Joe Giudice Pleads Guilty To Driver's License Fraud: 18-Month Jail Sentence To Be Served At The Same Time As His 41-Month Federal Prison Term
Joe Giudice, 42, is back in the hot seat and in more trouble. MStars News has learned that the reality star already facing 41 months behind bars accepted another plea deal, pleading guilty to possession of a fraudulent driver's license, after rejecting the deal at first and then later changing his mind.
The father of four's new plea deal is an 18-month jail sentence, which will happen at the same time as his 41-month federal prison time served.
Giudice was accused of using his brother's marriage and birth certificates to obtain a driver’s license, while his own ID was suspended due to a drunk driving incident back in 2010.
Meanwhile, Joe's wife Teresa Giudice, 42, has already managed to come up with half of the money she owes in restitution fines. Giudice paid $200,000 of the $414,588 she owed to Judge Salas.
Teresa is facing 15 months behind bars starting Jan. 5, as her husband Joe will serve his time right after she is released.
As for the reality stars' four daughters, Teresa previously revealed that her youngest 3 don't know quite what is going on but they suspect something, as their eldest daughter, Gia, does know about her parents' prison news.
Teresa claimed that she was going to tell her girls sometime soon, and wants her husband to bring them to see her while she serves her time.
"I'm grateful to the judge, she could have taken us yesterday if she wanted," Teresa said in a interview previously. "I'm going to do fine [in prison] ... I just want to make sure my daughters are okay. I just want to talk to my daughters every day. I want him to bring them to me."
