'Doctor Who' Season 8 Episodes, Rumors & Spoilers - Billie Piper Talks Peter Capaldi's 12th Doctor: Will Rose Tyler Return?
Billie Piper will always have a very special place in the hearts of Doctor Who fans for her portrayal of Rose Tyler in the rebooted 2005 season up to her recent appearance in the 50th anniversary special, "The Day of the Doctor." In a recent interview discussing her time on the series and the new season 8 episode starring Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor, Piper decided to put to rest any rumors about a possible Rose reprisal in the near future while also complimenting the new Doctor's work!
"I love Peter Capaldi [in Doctor Who], I think he's perfect," the Penny Dreadful actress said while speaking with RadioTimes.com. "If he'd been my Doctor that would have been brilliant."
Before you get salty about her possibly throwing shade at the Doctors she was a companion of, she clears up any controversy in her next statement.
"I'm also happy with my lot. I'm really happy with David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston," Piper said. "I mean they were really good."
So will she work with Capaldi, or maybe his successor, reprising the role of Rose?
"I love Rose, she's just a good girl isn't she," she said, then added: "I think at some point I have to put the lid on it. I've been back, like, four times..."
Her last appearance on the series wasn't exactly as Rose, but as a guide for John Hurt's Doctor.
"I think it was good to come back as something a bit different because otherwise it gets a bit repetitive and we all get bored," she said, making us wonder if she might come back as another character again.
