'Gone Girl' Emily Ratajkowski Says Kissing Ben Affleck Was Surreal Of Their On-Camera Romance
Things get a little heated in the new movie starring Ben Affleck and Emily Ratajkowski, as she plays his mistress Andy Hardy in the Gillian Flynn's bestselling-novel-turned-movie Gone Girl, out in theaters now. The stunning 23-year-old English model can most likely get any guy who walks her way, but she revealed to Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda that working with — that is, kissing — Affleck is far different. "The whole experience was a little surreal," Emily shared with Today.
"I have to be honest. Obviously, Ben Affleck is one of those — you know his face. I grew up with his face. Not sure if he would love that," she continued.
Ratajkowski became famous for her appearance in Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" music video. Gone Girl is her film debut.
Starring as Ben's mistress sure is a big step up in one's career, so what was it like for this young, aspiring actress to get the part?
"I went into an audition and there's this really tall, handsome guy and I'm like, 'Oh, my God, that's Ben Affleck,'" She explained to Today.
As MStars News previously reported, there were false accusations that Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner's marriage was on the rocks — headlines included "Ben too Close to Gone Girl beauty" — so we can assure you Ratajkowski is just a fan and no more than that.
That would be a true Hollywood story if the on-camera mistress became the real-life mistress, but not from our Ben, of course.
Ratajkowski was signed to Ford Models when she was 14. While attending high school at the San Dieguito Academy in San Diego, California, the model continued her career. Her mistress character was right up her ally, as she has previously modeled for the risqué lingerie company Frederick's of Hollywood.
