The October 20, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri and begins with Triple H, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, and Kane. They head to the ring with the Hell in a Cell cage hanging over it.

Triple H hypes the 3-on-2 handicap match against John Cena and Dean Ambrose later in the night. He also hypes the two Hell in a Cell matches at the pay-per-view on Sunday as the end of Ambrose vs. Rollins and Cena vs. Orton.

Rollins starts to talk and the fans chant "You sold out!" He says he has always liked the name Mr. Money in the Bank, but he wants to test out the new name "Undisputed Future of the WWE." He says Ambrose has no future. Orton grabs the mic and says he and Cena will put on the real main event, in which Orton will end the decade long rivalry.

Triple H says they are both right and announces that the winner of the Cena vs. Orton match will receive an opportunity to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Orton takes a shot at the Kansas City Royals and says he will actually win a championship. Triple H says The Authority always wins.

Damien Mizdow, Goldust and Stardust defeat Sheamus and The Usos when Sheamus Brogue Kicks Stardust, which allows Mizdow to roll him up and hook the tights for the pin.

Triple H is backstage with Randy Orton, who says he will do Triple H proud and beat both Cena and Lesnar to recapture the title. Triple H believes it and says this whole thing was Seth Rollins' idea. Orton is taken aback but says he wants to personally thank Seth.

Alicia Fox defeats AJ Lee with a roll up when Paige distracts the Divas Champion by pretending to quarrel with Alicia.

Orton walks into Rollins' locker room and thanks him for what he did, but asks why he's looking out for him. Rollins says he is a team player, but Orton says he can handle his own business. Rollins threatens to cash in on Orton if he manages to beat Cena and Lesnar.

Orton comes out to the ring and says both he and Cena know how brutal Hell in a Cell is. He talks about he and Cena's debuts, but the crowd starts a "Let's go Royals" chant, and Orton screams that they will never win. He says he and Cena became the two biggest stars of their generation, but calls Cena the same punk bodybuilder he was when he started. He also says Cena has no business being in the same ring as him. He promises to finish off Cena once and for all at Hell in a Cell.

Cena's music hits and he heads to the ring. He immediately tells Orton to shut up. He says Orton is a future Hall of Famer but every time he talks, he proves he's a dumbass. Cena basks in the "Let's go Royals" chant and says Orton keeps talking about 2002, which was the last time The Viper was relevant. He says the Royals lost 100 games in 2002 but now they have their eyes focused on the World Series Championship.

Orton says being in it and winning it are two different things, and Cena agrees. He says he wants another shot at Brock Lesnar and when he steps into the cell with Orton, all he'll see is the champion's face.

Paul Heyman comes out and says this is all revisionist history because the Class of 2002 also featured Brock Lesnar, who was the champion then and now. Heyman says the two men will step into Hell in a Cell to define their legacies. He says they are equals, but Lesnar has no equal, so the winner of the match is the ultimate loser.

Heyman says he has always respected Orton, but he tells The Viper he wants no part of The Beast. Heyman says Cena wants the title and the Beast, which is not a good idea because Lesnar devours challengers. Cena hoists Heyman up for the Attitude Adjustment but decides to put him down. Orton takes advantage and nails Cena with an RKO. Heyman laughs, but Orton RKOs him too.

Rusev (w/Lana) defeats Big E. with the Accolade. After the match, Lana says Big Show has no chance of winning and he deserves to be in a circus. Rusev says he will rip out Show's heart and eat it. They try to drop the Russian flag but it does not drop. Big Show appears on the TitanTron laughing, as the American flag drops instead. Rusev is about to rip down the flag but a soldier rushes the ring. Rusev kicks him in the head and leaves.

During the commercial break, Big Show helps the soldier to his feet. He says there are certain lines you do not cross, and Rusev did just that. Show promises to unleash his wrath on Rusev on Sunday. He's about to leave the ring but gets back in and tells Rusev to get out here now. Rusev does not emerge, so Show goes after him. He walks into Rusev's locker room, but he is not there.

Ambrose is backstage eating popcorn and watching See No Evil 2 starring Kane. Cena walks up and startles him. He asks what Ambrose is doing, and he says it is research for their match later. Cena looks confused and Ambrose says this is like Superman teaming up with Batman. Cena asks what the plan is and Ambrose says they take down as many of the Authority as they can. Cena says he likes it, but comments Ambrose is more like the Joker than Batman. Ambrose asks "why so serious?"

Brie Bella defeats Summer Rae with a dropkick off the second rope, followed by her finisher. She leads a Yes! chant in the ring and Nikki Bella seethes backstage.

Ambrose comes out to the ring with a huge bag. He sets up a chair in the ring. He says he has been having visions of what he would do to Rollins for four months, and now he gets his chance. He pulls out a dummy of Seth Rollins and props him up in the chair. He calls Rollins a puppet who doesn't like to get is hands dirty, so he promises to rip his hands off first inside the cell. He literally tears the hands off the puppet as he says this.

He searches for a tool inside his bag and pulls out a screwdriver to stab the dummy in the face. He then hits it with a hammer. He threatens to saw his testicles off, but then remembers he already sold them to The Authority. He takes a pair of tongs to the dummy's crotch and then piledrives it.

Rollins comes out with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble. Rollins says Ambrose will never be able to beat him. The crowd chants "You sold out" at him again, and Rollins agrees. He insults the crowd and says he is famous and rich, which the fans would never understand. Ambrose tells him to stop talking and come and fight. Rollins says he is not afraid of Ambrose or the Hell in a Cell.

Suddenly, Mick Foley's music hits!! He heads to the ring and says he came by to visit an old friend while pointing at the cell. Foley says they fulfilled their destiny by reaching their current levels. He even works in a $9.99 cheap pop. Foley says he has envisioned Rollins vs. Ambrose many times with Rollins as the winner almost every time, but Hell in a Cell is different.

He talks about his famous Hell in a Cell match with the Undertaker and says the scars from Sunday's match will haunt them forever. Ambrose says he is not worried about adding more scars to himself and says if anyone understands him, it's Foley. He says he is ready for Hell in a Cell, but Rollins has to ask himself if he is ready.

Rollins says they are both crazy, but that's not enough to win. He says his intellect will carry him to victory. Foley says the match will change them and he is not sure if they are ready for what waits for them on the other side. He works in another cheap pop about Kansas City and the Royals. He says on Sunday, they get the match they have waited for their entire lives.

Foley leaves and Ambrose tries to hit Rollins with a chair, but Rollins rolls out of the ring. Ambrose throws the dummy at him.

Cesaro defeats Dolph Ziggler with a powerful uppercut to earn a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. He hits Ziggler with the Neutralizer after the match.

Rollins and Orton argue backstage. Triple H walks in and tells them Kane will be the general out there tonight. Kane yells at both of them to work together and take care of business.

The cell lowers near the end of the main event match. The five men hit some finishers and Orton plants Ambrose with the RKO for the win. Rollins then Curb Stomps Orton, climbs the cell and stands tall as the show goes off the air.
