Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil: Arsenal Duo To Save Season? Premier League Transfer A No-Go As 'Hell Would Have To Freeze Over' For Forward To Join Tottenham
Germany are the champions of world football, so it's safe to say it's never a bad thing to have a couple of their players On your club squad. That's Arsenal's approach, anyway. Lukas Podolski and Mesut Ozil could help the club in their efforts to save their season, and they'll be back and ready to go before long. Podolski has been out of favour, but after saying, "hell would have to freeze over" for him to move to Tottenham, it's safe to say he's back in the fans' good books. He will soon be joined by good friend Ozil, who's pushing closer to a return from injury.
Podolski has had limited minutes on the field, and gossip columns insisted he will join Tottenham, but he soon tweeted, saying, "Hell will freeze over before this transfer would happen."
The German has scored 28 goals in 74 appearances for the club, but he's been nothing more than a bench option, but it's safe to say he wants to fight for the club that he loves.
Ozil will be back to aid him soon. He had been out through injury, but it's believed he will be back a bit sooner than they expected. Wenger explained: "He is out for a while now, I think at least six weeks."
Ozil explained: "I didn't even know about it. At half-time, just before we went out, the physio told me he had a little pain in his knee, but it's not bad and he wanted to go on. I told him 'if you don't feel well tell me and I will take you off straight away', but he never did and I left him on because we needed to find a goal."
Ozil will be back and ready to go before long, and he has a newly motivated Podolski to help him. Can the pair help the Gunners this season?
