Stila Cosmetics Fall 2014 Trend Alert: Bold Berry Lips And Flawless Skin

It encourages us to create a new story, put our best face forward and celebrate our individual style. Its fall 2014 trend is entitled "Mod Maven," which features a bold, berry pout and flawless skin.

Inspired by Rebecca Minkoff's FW14 runway show, Sarah Lucero, Stila Cosmetics's celebrity makeup artist and global director of creative artistry, said, "Oxblood is the new power pout. It plays beautifully with the strength of fall's masculine silhouettes and moody color palettes."

During New York Fashion Week, Stila was backstage for a number of designer shows, creating the makeup looks for the spring 2014 models. Fashion & Style got a sneak peak of how Stila's celebrity makeup artists achieved each look, what products they used and how you can recreate them at home.

For the Alice + Olivia spring 2014 presentation, Lucero created the makeup looks. Models showcased crisp looks with a touch of whimsical romance. They played up a fresh dewy face with a pop of rosy pink cheeks, softly tinted lips and a light coat of mascara.

Lucero also created the beauty looks at the Minkoff spring 2014 show. Evoking the look of "beauty nomads exploring the Mexican desert with a dash of punk rebellion," the models inspired Minkoff's palette of warm Navajo neutrals.

For the Trina Turk show, the look she created was influenced by "sparkling beaches, pink sunsets and the open road." The designer embraced the casual glamour of a California road trip, showcasing soft waves, fresh pink lips and the rosy glow of a natural flush.
