Cody Simpson Coming To TBS Series 'Cougar Town' For Courteney Cox's Show's Final Season

Will Courteney Cox be able to keep her paws off of the newest co-star that is making his way down to Cougar Town? We certainly don't think so, as it is being reported that teen heartthrob and Australian pop sensation Cody Simpson will be joining the cast during an episode for the series sixth and final season.

According to E! News, the Aussie singer will be starring in an episode of the former ABC series, which was picked up by TBS. The entertainment site is reporting that the star is going to be playing "a mini-Beady Eyes."

The singer is reportedly taking on the role of Pete, who is a high school student, very similar to that of Josh Hopkin's character Grayson. The two have the same mannerisms, actions, and are said to behave very similarly.

We are just hoping that Jules (Courteney Cox) isn't swept off her feet by Simpson.

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant, who competed on last season of the reality series, said that he caught the acting bug after his role in the comedy series. Simpson took to his Twitter to tease his upcoming appearance, writing, "Sparked a little acting flame."

Could fans of the musician be seeing more of him on other TV series soon? Only time will tell.

Fans of Simpson will have to wait until next year to see his episode, as the new season of Cougar Town doesn't kick off on TBS until early next year.

However, when the show does premiere, it will be one main cast members less, as TV Line reported that actor Brian Van Holt won't be returning to the series.
