Katy Perry Birthday Plans- "Dark Horse" Singer Cancels Plans To Travel To Egypt For 30th B-Day: Find Out Why
Katy Perry had plans to transform into her "Dark Horse" alter ego Katy Patra for her 30th birthday celebration, but it looks like those plans are on hold for the time being. The singer was planning to travel to Egypt for her big B-day celebration but it looks like Perry has put cruising down the Nile on hold for now because of political unrest in the country.
According to E! News, a source revealed that Katy was "planning on taking a cruise on the Nile River in Egypt and dressing up like Cleopatra," almost like a real life version of her "Dark Horse" music video. However, the site is reporting that become of political issues in the country that the "This is How We Do," songstress is planning on making other arrangements for her birthday.
The star, who is currently taking time out of her Prismatic World Tour, will celebrate her birthday this coming weekend, on October 25. She was also planning on traveling to Moracco, South Africa, and Paris for the festivities in her downtime from touring, however, it is unclear is the singer also canceled those plans.
Katy just wrapped up the North American leg of her Prismatic tour and will next head out to Australia and New Zealand, where she will start playing show on November 7 and continue until December 20. She'll then have a little bit of time off for the holidays before her final leg of touring, which is scheduled to take place in Europe on February 16 and will end on March 22.
