'Arrow' Casts Vinnie Jones as Villain Brick in Season 3 Multi-Episode Arc
A new villain will head to Starling City during Season 3 of Arrow, as the CW series has cast British actor Vinnie Jones to portray villain Danny "Brick" Brickwell for a multi-episode arc.
Variety first exclusively reported that Jones would appear in Episodes 10, 11 and 12 of the third season. His appearance will mark the first live-action incarnation of the character.
In DC Comics, Brick is a Green Arrow villain who has thick, invulnerable skin. On Arrow, Brick is a "ruthless gang leader who brings Star City's government to its knees. He's known as 'Brick' on the streets because he's been shot dozens of times but never put down."
Arrow previously teased Brick when his name appeared on Oliver Queen's list of targets back in Season 1.
Oliver will be doing a lot of fighting this season, and he'll also be taking on a fellow hero. IGN asked star Stephen Amell last week which character interactions excited him the most during the upcoming crossover with The Flash. "It was me and Grant [Gustin]. I mean, episode 108 [of The Flash] is called 'Flash vs. Arrow.' Our titles aren't just titles. You can bet based on the title that we fight. So, that whole dynamic -- which took place over three nights of shooting -- was a very new and different experience for me just from a technical standpoint, just because The Flash has so many effects. We do our fights [on Arrow]. On Monday, we are shooting the biggest fight we've ever done on Arrow in an incredibly practical way. I'm shooting 100% of it. I have no double. So that's crazy and that's us. This was them."
