'TLC Movie Ruined Me,' If You Ask Ex-Manager Perri 'Pebbles' Reid In A New Lawsuit
TLC's ex-manager, Perri "Pebbles" Reid is being called a lot of names, like conniving and a dishonest businesswoman in the 2013 film about the '90s girl group.
According to TMZ, Pebbles has been accused of cheating three teenage girls (at that time, in the '90s) and now she wants payback!
In a new lawsuit, Reid claims the TV movie, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story slandered her character by making her out to be a liar, and a cheat when she claims that she invested her time and money to become singer, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, rapper Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and singer, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas' manager.
Reid takes the bragging rights saying that she created one of the best-selling female groups of all times.
Pebbles claims that the CrazySexyCool movie falsely accuses her of making Chilli get an abortion, T-Boz working too hard ignoring her sickle-cell illness, and giving the girls only $25 per week for their hard-earned money.
Reid adds that the movie that aired on VH1 a year ago ruined her reputation and now she is suing for $40 million.
Actress Rochelle Aytes played Pebbles in last year's film.
