Watch: 'Insidious: Chapter 3' Movie Teaser Trailer Just In Time For Halloween 2014

Earlier this year we learned that Insidious: Chapter 3 would act as a prequel to the original film in the popular horror movie franchise, but not a standalone title (like Annabelle to The Conjuring). This week, we got our first great look at the movie thanks to a scary new teaser trailer!

Insidious: Chapter 3 has a release date set for May 29th, 2015, but this first teaser trailer drops right in time for Halloween 2014! Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell star in this horror movie prequel.

As you can tell from this new trailer, the film looks pretty creepy. A seemingly normal life can easily be turned upside down by a haunted house. Plus having broken legs probably isn't too great in this situation. Let us know what you think of this trailer in the comments section below!

The newest chapter in the terrifying horror series is written and directed by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell. This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
