"The Situation" may not be able to get out of this situation. Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino appeared in court in Newark, New Jersey, after being charged with tax fraud on almost $9 million in earnings. He faces more than a decade in prison.

The reality star, along with his brother Marc Sorrentino, pled not guilty to all charges and will stay free on $250,000 bail for each brother. The trial date is set for Dec. 2.

According to ABC News, both brothers were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States and filing false tax returns for 2010-12. The MTV star may look at more time behind bars because he allegedly didn't file a tax return for 2011. They could get more than 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if found guilty.

"According to the indictment, Michael and Marc Sorrentino filed false tax returns that incorrectly reported millions made from promotions and appearances," U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said in a statement. "The brothers allegedly also claimed costly clothes and cars as business expenses and funneled company money into personal accounts. The law is absolutely clear: telling the truth to the IRS is not optional."

The arraignment was originally set for Oct. 6, but the judge gave the Jersey Shore star an extension due to his filming commitments for his new reality show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Lauren Pesce.

"Michael has denied the allegations and we are confident that when all the facts are all known it will be clear that he did nothing criminally wrong," his lawyer, Richard J. Sapinski, told E! News. "We will be prepared on the date the case is called for trial."

But he doesn't know how long the trial will take.

Along with bail, the judge set stringent terms to both brothers to avoid consuming alcohol, give up their passports and agree to random drug testing.
